Driving Experience
Because the 2018 C-HR has a inherent low center-of-gravity, high strength and low weight, it offers a thrilling driving experience that is impressively comfortable. Years were spent developing the C-HR's driving performance and ride quality on some of the world's most curvaceous and challenging roads including the Nurburgring racing circuit. All of the innovation and creativity helps to make drivers feel connected to the road while confident behind the wheel.
The C-HR features a punchy 2.0-liter four cylinder that produces 144 horsepower and 140 pound-feet of torque. All power is sent to the front wheels via a continuously variable transmission (CVT). The all-new CVT utilizes redesigned pulleys to enhance acceleration and fuel economy, a new belt structure to reduce cabin noise, and a worlds-first coxial two-port oil pump system that allows for continuous oil pressure modifications in various driving conditions. Of course drivers will appreciate the fuel efficiency, impressive smoothness and quiet operation, but they will really love the Sport mode with simulated 7-speed Sequential Shiftmatic.
Interior
The 2018 C-HR's interior is intuitive and futher showcases the car's signature diamond-inspired look and feel. When you take hold of the premium leather-trimmed steering wheel or satin-plated shift knob you'll feel the perfect blend of elegance and sportiness the C-HR was crafted with. Don't worry, all those impressive design elements won't leave you too hot becuase the 2018 C-HR comes standard with a dual zone climate control system. XLE Premium C-HR's also sport heated front bucket seats to keep you the perfect tempature in all climates. Another standard feature on the C-HR is the auto-dimming rearview mirror with integrated backup camera. It helps to reduce unwanted nighttime glare to help provide you with a clear view.
Toyota Safety Sense P
Toyota Safety Sense P combines an in-vehicle camera and front-grill mounted millimeter-wave radar for enhanced performance and more functionality. In addition to the three active safety technologies featured in the TSS-C package, TSS-P enhances the Pre-Collision System by adding a Pedestrian Detection function, enhances LDA by adding a Steering Assist function on certain models, and adds Dynamic Radar Cruise Control.
